Gnomes are the most reached for items in our house and are often the center of imaginative play. These little mushrooms and gnomes are hand cut from 3/4 inch maple, sanded multiple times, and have their edges rounded over to make them inviting for little hands. Choose to keep them simple with only a few painted accents, or paint the whole thing. This set was designed to be a way for you to create something for or with your littles they can then use over the years in their play.

These sets are available with either 1 gnome and 2 mushrooms or 2 gnomes and 3 mushrooms. If you are interested in a different quantity, or mix, please contact us

(There will also occasionally be painted sets available for purchase in our "One of a Kinds" collection. Check back or follow on our instagram to know when they are available!)

DIY Information (just some suggestions!):

Paint these using slightly watered down non-toxic acrylic paints (can be found at craft stores). Lightly sand with 600 grit sand paper (or even use a brown paper bag!) between coats of paint. Two to three coats of paint will be sufficient.

To get the circles on the mushrooms, try dipping the eraser part of a pencil in paint and dabbing it on the wood!

After you are done painting, seal with your choice of finish. Some examples you can use are polycrilic (matte), shellac (will be a bit shiny), Crystalac matte, or RAW linseed oil (must let cure).

Last step is to tag us in your posts so we can see your beautiful creations!

Please note, even though the paint you will use is non-toxic, it is not ideal for babes to mouth painted toys. If the toys get wet, from saliva or otherwise, the color from the paint may transfer.
